NerdWallet’s mission is to provide clarity for all of life’s financial decisions. The Category Manager for New Markets is responsible for helping NerdWallet’s international and domestic expansion efforts. You will have a unique ability to impact a large segment of business for a fast growing and innovative startup. The successful candidate is competitive, resourceful, and analytical. The role will work across all major functions at NerdWallet to grow these business lines. The position can be based at a NerdWallet office or be geographically remote. The role reports to the General Manager, New Markets.

Where you can make an impact:

Analyze opportunities, synthesize findings, develop go-forward plans, and execute on recommendations as we enter new geographies and domestic categories.
Build out our portfolio of financial service providers in new markets. This includes prospect identification, pricing negotiation, partner management, and economic optimization.
Develop and strengthen NerdWallet’s positioning and value proposition among financial service providers in new markets.
Partner with GM on developing, testing, and improving conversion of our marketplace and other monetizing experiences on new market assets.
Own reporting on every new market geo and category.

Your experience:

4+ years of experience in operating roles with proven results from taking strategy through successful execution
Proven track record of driving business outcomes, demonstrated by customer-driven and financial metrics
Experience driving business outcomes and results from sourcing, onboarding, and strategic management of partners or clients
Deep data and analytic orientation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Familiarity with working in an internet product company a plus
